Default Verizon Discounts - What's up?

I have a friend that got a plan with a 15% discount through her employer. Despite calling to notify them that although it was shown on the paperwork for the account that it still wasn't being applied they still didn't apply the discount. Well 3 years later the discount still doesn't show up. I was sure that if it was indeed on the paperwork AND the account that they would have to give it to her (and by now some sort of credit) but so far no luck. Has anyone had this much trouble and is there a way to have them make good?

How did she apply for the discount? Did she download the proper application form and fax it along with her pay stub to Verizon?

It took a week for mine, but I have it too. They take 15% off my line of the family share plan.

Very cool, my company offers a 22% for equipment, and I believe its 25% for accessories. Just in time for my new every 2 also! Means my eNv will be even more affordable! So glad I started trolling before ordering to make sure the eNv was worth it!

My company offers a 22% discount on Verizon service. We had to go through our intranet at work and be directed to a special Verizon website and enter some info. Very easy and the discount was applied right away.

If you ask me the easiest way to do it is to go into the store and ask them to submit the paperwork for you, that way the representative is personally responsible for getting the discount added. Although you can also do it yourself online by going to www.verizonwireless.com/getdiscounts

Alright, another quick question re employee discount. I found out that I get 6% off through my company and my fiancee gets 17% off through his company. We have two lines on the account, but the account is under my name only. So in order to take the 17% off discount, do I need to call VZW and add his name as a account holder? or he could just register the line through the link provided by his company's intranet?

thanx.

You have to perform what's called an assumption of liability first because only the account holder is eligible to receive the discount. So basically, you need to get the account into your fiancees name. There are two ways to do this. A) call into customer service, they will send you a form which you could complete and they will process it. This normally takes about two weeks or so to complete. B) both of you go into the store and perform the a.o.l with a customer service rep. The change is done instantly, though expect to be in the store for at least half an hour to an hour as it takes a while. Also make sure your fiancee brings in his ID badge from work or his most recent paycheck stub so they can add the discount right away too.
