hello guys, i have been searching these forums for awhile now. I have a couple of questions. first one being, what will unlocking my already activated phone do? How do i install this phone onto my computer so i can add music/ringtones(i dont have the mini SD card yet).Is there anyway to hack the phone to make it more like its us cellular counterpart, or the cingular ones menus and so forth? How do i add games and pictures? Anything would be greatly appreciated. I have had the phone for 2 days.

well........unlocking the Verizon phone should work alright........making the phone like the Cingular menus wouldnt work right........as with all Verizon phones..........there is the same software/user interface on every Verizon phone that they now sell...........that software is needed to use some of the features on Verizons network.......the software that Cingular uses is just the one that comes with the phone......Verizon removes that and puts on their own software.........to get the Cingulars menus you would need to flash the phone with that software but like i said the phone may not work right.........to add ringtones and things like that you would need Moto Phone tools which can be purchsed for $30 from the Moto website

well what i hate is that, i ordered a frigan multimedia phone. the people at verizon siad just plug it in and add your own music. the music will play through the verizon media player. I dont want to have to do all that crap to use my phone to the fullest. Im trading it in for a us cellular. Im DONE WITH VERIZON!

buy a us cellular branded cell phone off ebay.......verizon will probably activate it......and Verizon is a better company in many areas from what ive heard (we dont have US Cellular here in PA)
