Default Converting "My Sounds" to ringtones

Is is possible to convert the files I have saved under "my sounds" into ringtones on the LG VX9800? If not, is it possible to convert an MP3 i have on the phone into a ringtone? Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm not sure if that is possible or not, but what I always do is I send tones via email to myself and save them as both a sound and ringtone. Hope this helps at least a bit.

If you have the LG and are in my sounds you should be able to send the file to your self as a message then save it as a ring tone that way.

Very true. However, I think if the file is over 250k, the phone won't let you do that.

I think that sucks, just like I think the 15 second limit on videos you take so you can send them...I don't understand why Verizon puts such cringy limits on things.

I have no idea maybe it is to keep off heavy usage on the network.

I do have an LG and have tried that, but can't seem to figure out how to save it as a ringtone after i send it to myself. My phone is an LG VX9800, do you know if its possible to save it as a ringtone on that phone?

Try this link. Maybe it will work for your LG too.

When you receive the new message/rington, hit options and on my LG it gives me two options: Save as RINGTONE, and save as SOUND. Does yours do that?
