why wont my music in(tf card) wont play in my phone? help plz

ok i did everything my music is in my card bu when i go to "my music" and push "play" it wont do nothin it takes me back to home. i didnt use the verizon kit do u guys think dats why??? HELP PLZ

What file is the music in? Most phones support WMAs only and not MP3s. AFAIK, only the chocolate, krzr, and q (i think) are capable of playing both types. For other phones, you have 2 use software that convert the MP3s to WMAs like the music kit or mod the phone to play MP3s.

I know on the VX8100 and VX8300, you can enable mp3 in the service menu.

Is this only on the card? What about if it's in the phone memory?

I don't have a memory card, so can't check, but go into Settings & Tools->System->Manage Memory.

You have to update your firmware!

Did you originally buy the music from Verizon? This is a common issue for Verizon customers. Verizon tries to force their customers to purchase all content through them, so Verizon makes more $.
