I have a razor V3m, and the music essentials kit. I have loaded the software, the fix from Verizon and from Motorola. The phone will say it is connected to the PC, and open WMP, but Media Player will not recognize the device. I have reinstalled WMP 10, still no luck. Verizon has no answer for me. Help.

YOu can try this but I must stress, if you do this upgrade you cannot revert without a System Restore Point or reformat. Upgrade to Windows Media 11 beta, you can get it from Windowsmedia.com (Microsoft owned site) but like I said, there is no "Uninstall"

Don't mean to jump in. I was informed by others that WMP11 will not work with the RAZR, yet. Those that tried it had to uninstall it and reinstall WMP10. Try this. procedure on WMP10. 1.) install music essentials. 2.) install this driver. http://www.bvrp.com/Customers/Motorola/DriverTool.zip 3.) turn OFF the phone 4.) plug phone into data cable, then plug into the computer - phone is still OFF. 5.) Wait for Windows 2000/XP recognizes the phone as a modem. Windows should install some drivers and then display a message similar to "Motorola USB modem" has been installed and ready for use. 6) Turn your phone on 7) From your phone, Menu->Get It Now Menu->Get Tunes and Tones->Sync Music 8) Windows should recognize your phone and ask you if you want to open Windows Media Player 9) You should now be able to sync files in Windows Media Player, just like with a regular device IF it still won't SYNC, try this patch. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/at...m-sync-fix.zip | |
