I saw that by Verizons request its disabled by phonetools to make it so you cant make your own ringtones. Does anyone know of a way to trick or hack the software to enable the funtion on phonetools? Im on prepay and im tired of payin 5 bux a ringtone. Thanks in advance for help

Yes. Some people had to SEEM their phone to make Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) work.

BEWARE that you can BRICK your phone if you seem it incorrectly and you can also VOID any warranty you have on the phone. So do the SEEM'ing at your own risk.

If you have a text messaging plan with your plan simply text message yourself from the PC with the ringtone as an attachment. When you open the message on your phone use the save sound option. You can also use this method to send yourself wallpapers. There are hacks to enable what Vzm has disabled but they are not without problems. If you screw the pooch you have an attractive paperweight.
