Well, I have had the Q for about a week and my verdict is in: I love it!! It is far from perfect, but who cares. The screen resolution and brightness are phenomenal. The call quality is typical Motorola top-notch as is the reception. Even Windows Mobile isn't so bad. I've had no problem finding what I've needed. I'm fairly used to its process so it was easy to get used to the way it does things. E-mail setup is a breeze. I'm using my e-mail addresses from my local cable company. It works great. I have no need for the VPN/Work network e-mail so I cannot comment on it. Bluetooth is awesome, especially since I was able to transfer my contacts from my prior-used Nokia 6256i to the Q quite easily. No OBEX block here... I have to admit that the best part of the phone is one of the included games "Bubble Breaker". I've become addicted to it. I really like the form factor and the thinness of the phone. It feels solid but lightweight. I also like the QWERTY keyboard. The buttons feel solid and easy to use. I know this phone has gotten mixed reviews, especially from the PDA crowd, but so far it is working out very well for me. This is a phone I can see myself using for the next couple of years. I am definitely glad I got the "Q"!

I found that the more I used the Q, and took advantage of its capabilities, the more I loved what it does. For this month, I've added the PDA/Smartphone plan for 79.99 (450 minutes voice + unlimited data). I want to see how much I really use the Internet and e-mail. Then I can decide to keep the unlimited plan or switch to pay-per-use. I forgot to add in my review that the battery life has been surprisingly good. I've played "Bubble Breaker" about 100 or so times and after almost 3 days, the battery is finally at one bar, but is still going. Plus I've been on the phone quite a bit and I have the phone automatically check e-mail every six hours. The Q has exceeded my expectations so far. I'm not too surprised considering I've owned a ton of Motorola's and I have been very happy with them. You can't really go wrong with Moto's and Nokia's, IMO.. I think you'll like the Q, Chris. I hope to read your review on it soon!

Nice review Mike! I have loved mine so far as well. I had to do a hard reset this week because I was having issues with a pop3 account that I installed and it really messed some of the email funtionality up. Other than that, the thing has been really great so far. Take a look at the invisible shield for it. It is like a screen protector that covers the entire phone and VERY VERY nice. I highly recommend it!

Nice review Mike! Once you get hooked on a smart/pda phone it is hard to go back to a regular phone. And WM5 is much better then previous versions. I think it is the main reason people are starting to imbrace these devices I wish Sprint would get the Q, I would love to have a Moto again.

Not to mention the freedom of EVDO! Mike, have you tethered your Q to a laptop yet and been out and about online? It's really nice!

Thanks az, budney, and Charlyee. az, I haven't tethered my laptop to it yet. I probably won't. I've been enjoying the Internet on the phone itself, but I find that I can live with my laptop just on my home wireless network. I will keep your suggestion in mind, though. BTW, where did you get the phone protector you mentioned?? budney, I agree WM5 is a lot better than previous versions. Hey maybe you can join us on the dark side!! Charlyee, I feel like I'm in phone heaven. I got my Q and my 6682 by my side. What more could I ask for...

And to all you EVDO users. BE QUIET! Some of us here don't have it yet, but have had a taste.
