Question extended network

I have a question does anyone know if Verizon will ever allow users that are on US Cellular (extended network) to receive picture messages or access any other data sevices like get it now. I live in Peru, IN and am getting tired of driving 20 min to Kokomo, IN to receive ringtones and picture messages, Other than that I really am happy that i switched from Centennial (absolutely terrible customer service!).

This may be network dependent... AFAIK, US Cellular disables pix/data to non USC Subscribers... VZ can't control what features are available when you aren't on VZW network

Another possible way is to get on the Internet, like you doing now, dl what you want and then upload to your phone.

Look through the 'sticky' in this thread and you will find a number of people have given some sites that you can dl from, for FREE.

MPT and/or BitPim can ul pics, movies, etc to your phone from your computer. And bitPim is also FREE.

verizon probably doesnt have roaming agreements that include data or they are shut off by default.....if you called verizon and talked to them about it maybe there is a way to activate it but there are almost definitely extra charges involved

There are no extra charges involved and DATA roaming is working in a lot of areas already today. If it doesn't work I would call Verizon and see what they say because I think data roaming was up on the U.S. Cellular network in ID, for example, before it went to ALLTEL.
