Before I get into any long drawn out battles with Verizon, there's a couple of questions I have regarding the new every two thing. 1. My wife and I have a shared plan. Her phone number is the primary number. As such, she gets the $100 towards a new phone while I don't. She can get the Razr for free, but I'd have to pay $100 for it. The thing is, she doesn't want any gadgets or V-cast or anything like that. Is it possible for her to order the Razr, for me to order a $29.99 phone and then have a tech switch the numbers before we turned them on? 2. Has anybody had any luck trying to get Verizon to pony up some cash for the secondary line in a shared plan? I know in their service agreement, it says that secondary phones are not included in the NE2 which is absurd. The share plan we have costs more than if we both had individual $34.99 plans. I had to pay an activation fee for both phones and both phones are subject to an early termination fee if I cancel either one of them. I was wondering if it was worth my time to try and call Verizon and attempt to talking them into offering me a credit on my bill or something. Thanks |

1. Yes, you can get any phone you want with the NE2, activate it on the primary line, then immediatly do ESN swaps to put it on your number. this is not a problem and customer care can do it for you free of charge. Also right now the Samsung a950 and Motorola E815, both top of the line phones, both better then the RAZR are buy one get one free. 2. no, that is not how it works you will not get any credit. do not waste your time. Verizon Wireless is the only company who has a NE2 type program and infact some companys (cingular for example) charge you money just to upgrade your phone. be grateful or find a diff carrier. |

as long as both lines are eligable for upgrade, yes. if only one is then you will not get the "free" one unless you open a new line of service.
