For anyone who is looking for a good solid-performing tri-mode phone, my Wife found out yesterday that the local stores still stock the 4400s in the back, & they are new in-the-box.

She found this out while she was at the store getting her battery swapped out. The store associate was prepared to swap out the whole phone, until it was deemed that the battery was the culprit...

Are these phones for sale or are they only used for sway-outs or replacements?

I wasn't w/ my Wife when she was there, but I have been to the store many times & can vouch for the fact that they don't have the 4400s on display anymore. My Wife said that the associate brought out the brand new boxed 4400...

Hmm...probably just a certain amount of them for replacements or something...Maybe they just ordered too many and are using those as replacements instead of refurbs..
