Interesting that in the section for the Northeast, there's no one testing in central/northern NJ or New York city...

You are right Critic, that is very interesting. More interesting, however, is the fact that they check only main areas. That may explain, why so many people in their homes get poor reception, but 100 ft away it is a full 5 bars. Maybe, no one cares or checks the less used areas.

I would be kinda creeped out if someone showed up in a VZW jacket and wanted to use their phone in my house... I can only imagine how many minutes/month they use...probably get them all free or at least dirt cheap also.

I don't understand why this testing thing is so difficult, whether VZW or other carriers. Customers know where dead spots or recption problems exist. All you'd have to do is "listen" to the customers who tell you where they have reception problems, go there and test. Having said that, there's now way I'm reporting a problem in my house...I just know Kenneth would show up instead of Fay! :-) |

Well when they are testing, they are comparing their signal against the other major carriers. The biggest deal to them is if they have better signal than other carriers. The fact that they may not have signal in a particular area is often overlooked if other carriers don't have a strong signal there as well.

I've actually heard a lot of people complain about reception quality of the VX 7000...your phone might also play a role. | |
