Looking to sign up for new service with my 81 year old father who is hard of hearing (hearing aid in each ear) and is only comfortable using a speakerphone. We're looking at Costco's deal for sprint which is good (1000 anytime, unlimited MtoM + nights and weekends starting at 7pm for $70 and two sanyo 8200's for $50 ea after rebate) but i'd prefer verizon for coverage. San Diego
Any good cell phones with good speaker phone sound and RF for verizon?

The v60s has a pretty good speaker phone, I've used it while driving and had no problems hearing the person on the other end. It's a simple and basic phone also.

I would agree with xikle, motorola has always had the best speakerphones, IMO..

I believe it does do full duplex. I haven't tried talking over someone while using the speaker phone.

I played with a friend's v60s and if I remember right it is full duplex, but I wasn't paying specific attention for this, I just know I had just been cut off and interrupted their directions with some cursing and they heard me

but I may be wrong..

The LG VX4500 also has a pretty good speaker phone. It distorts a bit when turned all the way up, but I never have to turn it up that high. Also, the earpiece is so loud that most of the time I have it on the first or second setting, and, if you ask my wife she'll tell you I don't hear that well.

I had the 4500 before upgrading to the 7000 and I loved the speakerphone option. I thought it worked great. Matter of fact I was actually surprised that it worked that good.

thank you all....we went with sprint deal...hard to beat...sound is so good...
I couldn't find anything comparable in time...trying to figure out how to put phone on vibrate mode now...supposed to be supported ...

sprint strikes me as the AOL of Wireless carriers....eg you have to buy third party data cable to sync with your pc cuz they want you to buy their service....off topic i know...thanks again for all your input
