There are quite a few reviews of it on the web and a positively enormous thread on it on howardforums.com... The response has been mostly positive but since I'm not up for an upgrade it'll cost me an arm and a leg. The XV6700 is $100 cheaper at full retail and seems to be more feature packed. However, it does have the one downside that in order to get to the keyboard you have to slide it out, turn the phone and wait a full second for the screen to rotate. The 700w you just pick up and start dialing.

I work for a verizon store. we ordered in a 700w for a customer, and it was a right bastard to program and work with. Little side note, if you want to use the letter recognition program(the thing where you write the letter with the stylus instead of using the keyboard) to enter phone book info, you need to change the input style in WORD. Changing it in the program settings does not work. Other than that, enjoy! |

Someone I know recently upgraded to the 700 from the Audiovox. Seems okay to me but I was lost when trying to figure out how to speed dial since I'm more familiar with the Palm OS. It felt sleeker than the 650 but that just might be me.

The Audiovox phones look SWEET, but I have heard they really drop the ball on reception. Thats just word of mouth, as I havent experienced one myself. The new Aud 6700 looks awesome, and has alot of really great features, but Audiovox and good reception dont often fall in the same sentence, so Im hesitant to recommend it. It is sleeker, for sure, than the 650. I am however a huge Blackberry fan, so for me and a palm/phone combo, it would only be Blackberry. | |

Its good to know that the 6700 gets good reception. I had heard otherwise, but then it could be that we live in the mountains! That does tend to do something to the reception. I got to play with one about a week ago and it was so freakin cool. I just about grabbed it from the guy who came in with it (good thing he had a sense of humor) and started messing with it. If I were to get a smartphone that wasnt blackberry, that would totally be the one.
