Just got this phone. I use my phone a lot to check my AOL email. When you go to the AOL sign on screen, there's a place to enter user name and password and a box marked "save this information." When you highlight the box and press OK, nothing happens. I called Verizon techical support. They escalated the issue to a high level and ultimately told me the problem is with AOL. I spoke to AOL and they said it's Verizon's problem. Just to complete the circle, I called Motorola who also pointed the finger at Verizon. I tried a Samsung Verizon phone today, got the identical sign on screen, and was able to select the box. It's annoying to enter all that information using a phone keypad every time I sign on. Does anyone have some advice? Second question: I am disappointed that the e815's T9 (iType) does not work for writing e-mail. Do any Verizon phones have this ability? |

First of all, welcome to WA! I'm thinking this may be an issue with your handset. Have you tried exchanging it for a new one? -Jay

According to Verizon tech support, they tried several e815's and all had the same problem signing onto AOL. The Verizon salesman tried it on his 815 with the same results. I tried a Verizon/Samsung phone, got the identical sign on screen for AOL, and was able to check the box. I can't figure out whether the problem is with Verizon, AOL or Motorola but suspect Verizon (since the AOL screen works on other models and Motorola claims that they have nothing to do with the functionality of that screen). |

It may be a Problem with the E815. Also, itap does not work while in mobile web, no idea why not, but I'm not sure which other Moto models allow for that. You may want to play around some other models at the Verizon store to see.
