I'm about to switch from Cingular to Verizon and America's Choice. I'm torn between two phones: the LG5200 and the LG6100. Any thoughts?

Go with the 5200. It's the upgraded version of the 6100.

I would say try them first because i had the 6100 and the reception on that phone stinks...if you live near a tower then the phone is great but if your in a fringe area expect some drop calls got rid of it and got the e815... super reception ill tell ya.

I have both. I like both equally and found the reception to be pretty good on both. I lean towards the 5200 only because it's standard battery seems to be longer than the standard battery on the 6100. The 5200 also uses the VZW UI menu system. Takes some getting used and not everyone is a big fan of it. I always liked LG's menu system..
