I'd get it for one of my family line upgrades, but I hate the VZW UI.

So what your saying is that the menu on the RAZR would be just like the one that resides on my LG VX8100???

If so, that would be cool. I prefer that UI, rather than the one on the E815 I tried. I don't do anything fancy w/ my phones, so I wouldn't mind the VZW UI...

Yes, every new Verizon phone that comes out from now on(other than the Nokia 63 or 65 whatever series...lol...sorry) will have the Verizon User Interface on it. I've played with the 8100 that has the UI on it and hate it. You can't customize anything and I don't like the way the menu is set up. I liked the original 8100's with the LG UI on it. The E815 has the standard Moto UI on it, and will continue to do so AFAIK.

My Dad wants one really bad. He's been complaining about his current phone(an Audiovox which is now a POS)... He doesn't do much on his phone other than talk a lot, so if it has good RF, we'll give it a try for him.

P.S. Just a few more hours...

I love Verizon but I am growing very tired of their crippled bluetooth and universal UI. Every carrier out there that offers a BT phone has not crippled the functionality, someday VZW's phones will catch up with their network.

It is up on the site, I have seen pictures of it side by side with the normal V3, and it looks to be less than a 1/4 inch thicker. Well it is about time, glad to know it actually came out the Xmas/holiday season. Now lets see some reviews.

People are reporting on HoFo that Circuit City will have the RAZR for sale on Dec. 11th. They will have the phone in their sunday ad and VZW will let them sell it a day early!!

Not so. T-Mobile has crippled BT on several of its phones, and you can bet that Cingular will do it too once they decide to agressively push their "MEdia Mall". It all comes down to the almighty dollar.

And while I'm not nuts about the standardized UI, that's another thing you can look for Cingular to ape eventually...especially if it cuts down on training costs and churn.

I won't be surprised if I see people camping out at CC the night before.

I am very curious to find out if the reception on this phone with an internal antenna is as good as the 815 or 710 with external extendable antennas.

Only then would I consider getting one.
