Default Upgrading Family Plan issue- HELP!

I feel like I am being ripped off by Verizon and I need some feedback!
My wife and I recently decided to do a major increase in minutes to our Family Share plan from 500 to 2100 minutes. On Nov 12th, the day before our billing perion ended we went to our local Verizon authorized dealer and told him what we wanted to do. Originally he said we would need a new contract and I told him I had talked to Verizon earlier and they said no contract extension was required. He got on the phone with someone and afterward he said we were right and he did the upgrade for us effective the 14th of Nov. We said perfect!
We received our bill in the mail and could not figure it out. Under month charges it said "previous calling plan 10/14 to 11/13 -$50.00 (a credit)"; "current calling plan 10/14 to 11/13 $100.00"; "current calling plan 11/14 to 12/13 $100.00".
On my previous month's bill I paid my 10/14 to 11/13 charges of $50.00. Why are they back charging me for the upgrade. I have talked to 2 CS persons and a supervisor who say it's correct but I don't get it.
On the upside the contract still runs out in May. Also in the charges above I was only listing the charges on the primary line since that's the major "unsolved opportunity". Please give me some feedback!

It's right because they credited you $50 on your new bill... it's as easy as that.

Andy's right... the billing system had charged you the 50 for the original plan and since you changed it, the system credited the 50 back and charged the full amount for the new plan.

I understand the billing can be a little confusing, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing amiss here.
