I moved to an area a few months ago that doesn't offer VZW service. A friend told me since VZW doesn't offer service here that I can cancel the service without paying the early termination fee. Is this true?

Still in VA? Where in VA does Verizon NOT offer service? I googled the heck out of your question and couldn't find anything definitive, but according to some opinions, if you can show that at the zip code where you currently live there is no Verizon service, they 'may' let you out of the contract without an ETF. Try asking Verizon. You may get lucky. Lena |

| VZW has no license at all for Charlottesville area Right now UrbanComm has the 10 MHz PCS F Block. Suncom was going to buy it, but Suncom has ran into cash problems so they are not getting the license. That leaves the F block vacant in your area. Verizon could buy it. Even if Verizon bought the license today there would be no network or local numbers until 2006~2007. My family is in simmular problem they want VZW and local number and most were with VZW until 2002 when VZW got fired back home and are not allowed to sell wireless service.
