I was more surprised when I read Palm was installing Windows Mobile OS on the Treo 700. Kind of like Mac deciding on Win XP for their OS.

I had a Windows Mobile smart phone but the ear piece volume was extremely low so I took it back and the treo650 was louder so I switched. I tried my brothers RIM BB and it seemed to be the loudest of all that I sampled.

No firm details on this device yet (that I can find). All kinds of rumors around the actual specifications. Engaget got an exclusive first look at the device and seem to think the screen is 240x240. The 320x320 screen of the Treo 650 is just barely adequate for my uses (which include SSH). 240x240 is most likely what you'll be seeing. As I recall, 240x240 is the largest "square" resolution that WM5 supports. It won't do 320x320.  |
