Smile Pay as you go phone upgrade problem

I have an account with verizon. (5 lines) Not pay as you go. However my daughters phone that she put on the line is a pay as you go. She is due for an upgrade, but it only offers pay as you go phones. All other lines offer regular phones. My question is if we switch to a regular phone will the upgrade date change or will it offer us to upgrade to regular phones. We have a phone from a previous upgrade that we could change to but need reassurance that it will change to regular phones to upgrade and than she can pick a new phone. Thank you

Changing the PAYG phone for a regular phone shouldn't change the upgrade date as you can change phones at any time. It's likely to offer regular phones for upgrade once the switch is made. Verizon is very picky about what phones can be activated on PAYG, which is why your daughter is only seeing PAYG phones for upgrading on her line.

Now if you try this change and it doesn't work, your best bet is to call Verizon and see what your options are. Just keep in mind of the possibility of you not getting what you want. With Verizon, you never know what could happen.
