    Default file transfer on V3m

I just got my V3m this week. I have a wireless bluetooth dongle for my computer and it can find my RAZR, but won't let me file share with my computer. I have also tried a mini USB cable and it won't work either, saying the phone can't be installed on my computer without drivers. I would like to put pictures of my wedding on my phone and also songs from my computer because this phone does not support the ringtones you can download at Verizonicon.com. Please help me!!

Verizonicon not only disabled but deleted Bluetooth OBEX on the Razr V3M. It appears with seem edits and MPT you maybe able to transfer with MPT.

I find using the TF Card the best way to transfer pics, audio, and video. Good Luck.

You have a number of options.

You can use a free product called BitPim and a mini-usb to usb cable. BUT you will have to SEEM the phone so BitPim will work.

You can go online and buy Motorola Phone Tools or MPT, (I suggest you find MPT with BONUS CD). It contains a lot more options, ringtones and other stuff that the regular copy does not have.

VZW did 'delete' the OBEX function but ONLY if your phones software is ver .03 or is it .3? If you have any other version, you can use any of the above products.

To SEEM the phone you will need to get MSU and P2K. These are free and you will also need to get a list of the SEEMS.

All of this info can be found in the RAZR phone thread. It is realllly a long thread, so it is best to do a search to look up things.

There is also a pretty nice site that walks you through most of what you want done. It is here.

Good luck. ASK if you have a question about ANYTHING.
