US Cellular Won won 17 new PCS licenses for $152,043,000 or about $1.05 per MHz pop. Most of these licenses cover territory that US Cellular currently operates. Most of these airwaves will be for extra call capacity and to do future highspeed data services like EV-DO. US Cellular will add the twin cites in Minnesota to there footprint. On Jan 6th US Cellular finally got its licenses approved by the FCC and now has them.

Last I heard they have no plans until rev A comes out so probably in 2007 we might see them with EVDO.
