I have an LG VX6100 and data cable...I have a prepaid account and have no access to my brew program...do I need that in order to download ringers and graphics to my phone...I am totally new to this so can someone help me out cuz I am illiterate when it comes to this stuff...so step by step instructions would help alot! Thank You to anyone who can help!  |

if you want to download them from US Cellular you will need to have easyedge (brew) enabled on the phone. if you want to use your data cable, and not pay, you will need to download a program called bit pim. (www.bitpim.com). You'll also have to get the drivers for the data cable so your computer will recognize your phone. good luck! |

I don't believe easyedge is available for prepaid accounts yet, though I think it is supposed to be launched sometime 4th quarter. The 6100 does have a data kit availbale for it, but I am not sure if US Cell has locked out the features or not. You might try the LG forum.
