    wikipedia has a good write-up on fuel cells if you are unfamiliar with the technology. It would be great to see this technology somehow come to the actual rechargeable batteries. Unfortunately, just by definition alone, fuel cells are use-once and toss. That would mean Apple and other makers would have to allow user-changeable batteries and we all know how (expletive deleted) Apple is about users getting inside their products.
