The two extra skins for the forums, Surge and Ambience, will be discontinued on May 15.

They are cool to have, but by turning them off we will be able to focus more attention on improving main WirelessAdvisor(default) skin.

If you are using one of those skins now, you don't really have to do anything. After May 15 your skin selection will be switched to the default/WirelessAdvisor skin.

This sucks...The nasty yellow doesn't appeal to me at all.

I find the default skin hard to read and have never used it. Maybe we should make surge the only one....

I've always used the default skin because, until very recently (ie, when the thread about the skins was posted) I didn't know I had a choice. I tried the other two but prefer the default skin. I feel it is easier to read and it looks black and yellow to me (even though I'm told it's actually blue and yellow.) Since I'm a Penguins, Steelers & Pirates fan, I prefer the black (blue) and yellow.

I think by eliminating the other two skins the site will get better because the focus can be on doing new things once for the entire site and not doing new things three times for three different skins.

I agree with Rancid, and like i said before, the default yellow skin looks so familiar now that you know you're at WA, it's like your team color...

Plus, looking from a webmaster's point of view, if most of the users use the default skin, it can save a lot of space to get rid of those other skins and only disappoint very few people. Plus the default skin looks good, too
