Will that be a problem for colorblind people? I know my dad has trouble reading red text.

I like it too, although Jay has an interesting question. I'm not an expert in this, but I don't think there is one answer. First, it depends on the type of color blindness - red/green color blindness is most common in males. Second, it depends on what color background the red text is on. This is because color blindness usually does not mean that one can't see colors, but that one can't distinguish colors from each other (only in the most rare and severe forms of color blindness do people actually see in shades of gray). So the questions are:

- is the red text on the light gray background distinguishable for someone with red/green color blindness?

- can a color-blind person adjust the forum color palette so it works for them? This is partly a technical question - I've never tried to change the forum colors.

Overall, I don't know how to answer these except experimentally. Unhelpful? I thought so.

I have to say that while I like it on the main page/search results, I don't like it in the thread because red on blue background is a lot less noticeable — and to the best of my knowledge I don't suffer from color blindness

I was just playing around with it to see how it looked. They way I did it wasn't the proper way, so it caused some problems. I'm glad you mostly liked it...me too. It will be back along with some other skin updates.

Yeah I noticed the poster information/avatar stuff all across the top. I'm not sure I liked that as much, though it would be more a function of just getting used to that. It did save vertical space on the page, so that is a plus.

I didn't really like the red. "Red" is a "warning" color to me. Green is a nicer color. When I see green on a radio, that usually means things are working right

PS- Oops, just noticed my signature is red ... and most of my logo

If you see "my SIM is asking for PUK" post from last month, chances are it's too late, so that can be a relaxing green
