On the old boards, when you went into any forum, it would mark the forum as every old. In the new forums, it only marks each post as old. Now, every forum is marked as new unless i look at each post. Is there a setting to correct this?

Actually, I think it makes more sense the way it is done here. After all, if you have not read a thread, it is new to you. Therefore, if there are unread threads in the forum, the forum is still "unread" as well. There may be a function for you to mark the entire forum as read...I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks for any help. I just find it a little annoying that you must open every post to have the forum marked old. There are some posts that i dont want to bother opening, but i still want the forum to be marked as old.

Under "Forum Tools" you can choose to mark the current forum as read. (You have to be viewing a forum, and not a thread to see that menu.) Also, under Quick Links, you can mark all forums read. |
