This is a pic of me in my full Cologne Fire Department uniform. The CFD volunteer unit uniforms don't differ that much from the full-time fire department personnel since they only contain the lettering "Feuerwehr Köln" (Cologne Fire Department) instead of the full-time FD lettering "Berufsfeuerwehr Köln" (Beruf=Job).

Here are some pictures taken today, this is at 1 of the Home Depot's in town that had Contractor day. I didn't think they were going to have both cars there, next week we get the 48 car of Jimmie Johnson in town for the Lowes grand opening.

I wish I could talk the Chief into getting me one, preferably the #17 Matt Kenseth car, since it is a true race car used at short tracks, top speed is 140 + of course if I could get a super speedway car then I would really be in heaven.

One thing that is really popular here in Germany is the whole Formula 1 racing concept. Obviously you guys in the US get to see the one Formula 1 United States Grand Prix race per year when the likes of Michael Schumacher (Ferrari), Juan Pablo Montoya and Fernando Alonso come to town to Indianapolis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana...otor_Speedway).

Here in Germany, there are 2 famous speedways which host the Grand Prix when they come to Germany once a year. The Nuerburgring is located up in the Eifel mountain range (places like Bitburg and Sprangdahlem housing US military bases are also in that region) and was constructed in the 1920s. A lot of new cars are also tested there and there are also public events on a regular basis where normal drivers can try out their tuned cars.

We use to have a Grand Prix race here in NJ at the Meadowlands complex, it ran for 2 years around what's now Continental Arena & the parking lot of Giants stadium, I went to both & it was wild watching them, they were suppose to move to NYC, but because they were sponsored by Marlboro NY told them no way.
I am more of a Nascar fan myself but like Grand Prix & Drag racing as well, plan to go to Raceway Park here in NJ this summer with my kids for the summer nationals.

I can not & will not scratch Jimmie Johnson's car, I may have done it to Tony's car though
