Hello! I have NEVER participated in a forum before and hope this is the correct way to post my issue. I have just purchased a Motorola Q thru Verizon. I live at the edge of a National Forest, at 8800 ft. Since it is next to impossible to get a signal here (even though Verizon says it does work), I wondered about the viability of signal boosters and repeaters, and gizmos likt this. The man at Verizon believes this is a waste of money. I hoped that somebody in a forum like this one might help me. Shirley, the Tijeras Lady |

Just wanted to stop in and say a quick Hi! And welcome to all the newbie's! Hopefully most of you will feel welcome here, and stick around for awhile. It always saddens me when we get a new person who asks a few really good questions, makes a few good responses, then just disappears into thin air... ~*Ash*~ |

[quote=Webmaster;66411] Are you are new to the WirelessAdvisor.com Forums? Drop into this thread and introduce yourself. We are all glad to have you as a member! Hello Every, Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ani, proud owner of a Motorola A1200. (Yes, I am a late bloomer... six months after its release) Anyway, I have found myself doing the most research I'v ever done for a phone. Wow, how the times have changed. I joined for two reasons. 1) I was looking for help and 2) I read some questions that I had answers to. Lets start with the question: Q: I have no problems using T-mobile for calls or to get on the web and download programs. However, I can't seem to get my sms/mms working. I've configured all my settings and should not have a problem but every time I go to write a message either using the keyboard or handwriting it tells me "file size too big." This occurs when I try to put in my first charactor. I am using a 512mb transflash and have everything save directly on to it. Why am I having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? It's not a network problem because I can receive sms or send blank ones. I just can't seem to get a message written, not even one letter. I have read the manual over and over but have found nothing. I've spent hours playing with my settings and still nothing. If anyone knows a solution I would be forever greatful! Thanks! |

Howdy all! O.K. I'll admit it, I am a cell phone user. Addicted I guess to the communications devices when they started life as bag phones! Graduated to a beeper then to the industrial sized portables and finally after a succession of Nokias & Ericssons now have Treo650 at my side. Unfortunately tethered to Cingular's carrier system - but am counting down the months to that contract's end! Just once I wish a carrier ( I've used Aerial, Voice stream, Bell South Mobility, At&T and the big "C"), just once I wish they'd live up to their marketing hype without all the finely printed faded out disclaimers! IF this keeps up I swear I'll get a flock of carrier pigeons! But maybe I can get some straight talk from other users at this site! Regards |

Hi all. I'm new to here but I have been hanging out at HF for a while for all of my phone needs. I'm stuck to Verizon's carrier system...I guess it's not that bad, but out here in the middle of nowhere Utah I get weird signal at times. In the "out-back" we get full signal, but in town we only get one to two bars if we're lucky. I have been playing with DUN on my SCH-A950's for a while {using it right now.} and I would like to know if anyone has figured out how to use it with bluetooth. If you have had any good luck with it please let me know. Thanks to you all, MaDMAn Last edited by MaDMAn82; 10-23-2006 at 8:13 AM. |
