I'm the newest guy on the block. I work for a company that buys and sells network hardware. We deal with cell sites and expansion equipment, microwave, power, out door shelters etc.... I have viewed a lot of postings and it appears there is a lot of knowledgable and helpful people on this post. I don't know jack about the phones themselves but I hope I can answer questions about the network infrastructure for other members. See ya between the lines..... Junk Yard Dog P.S. I'm a Steelers fan too. |

If it's only triband, 850/1800/1900 MHz, the handset could not receive using a SIM of a 900 MHz only carrier. The carriers on 1800 MHz likely do not have a roaming agreement. What country is the buyer in, and whose SIM is he using? Oh, and welcome to the Wireless Advisor(s)! COtech

[quote=Webmaster;66411] Hello! I joined this forum in search of information regarding pre cell phones. In other words, I am looking for a phone that was used in limos during the early 1980's, more precisely in 1982. Does anyone know, or have reference photos? Thank you! |

Hello Just ran across this forum in my never ending google searches for phone answers. Looked like there was some good info and knowledgeable people here so I thought I'd register for once rather than lurk. You'll probably only see me in the Alltel section as I work for an Alltel Authorized Agent and am kind of the techy in my office. So.. yep. |

Hello all. Live in NE TN, Kingsport or Tri Cities... New to cellular and trying out Sprint right now (30 day trial and have one more week). Forgive this newbie... Sprint has terrible signal at my home. Phone is set to sprint only, it will roam on auto setting at my home. Plan states no roaming charges unless over 50% of calls are roaming. Feel like no win situation... Advice - or better carrier in tri cities?? Thanks |

Hi all, Thanks for the warm welcome. I am new to this forum so I need to get use to it.... In the meantime, you can guide me to the correct forum to unlock my two phones 1. Motorola V551 2. Razr V3 Both are on the AT&T Wireless Network (not moved over to the Cingular network)... Thanks Once more and I really hope to learn about the various aspects of Cell Technology.... By the way - one other question..... In my Apartment, there is poor reception of my AT&T Wireless Service...... is there a way to BOOST the signal by adding an external antenna? Thanks |

I am a Plaxo user and always wished that I could upload my Plaxo contacts on my Sony Ericsson smartphone and keep in-sync over-the-air. Sync2App is a sw which provides this facility. I found it to have elegant interface and good utility to have. Now I dont have to worry on if someone changes his/her details and I dont have on my cell phone. Plaxo and Sync2app together will do that for me. |

Hello! I, too, am new to this forum and found you all after endless searching for answers to find a new (up to date) device. How in the world do you make a decision on which device works best for you? I need email, calendar, contacts, document viewing and manipulation, etc. I was looking at the 8125, but now I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, JL Last edited by jamilowry; 10-09-2006 at 12:38 PM. Reason: proof reading |

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to say hi. I looked around the forums a bit just before joining and I'm impressed with the site and the members. Ok, now a couple of questions. I just switched from Cingular to Verizon and I have the V3M. When I was with Cingular my Razor had the Vibe & Ring, Vibe then ring feature...why doesn't the V3M come that way and how can I enable that feature? I've searched on this forum and others and I keep coming across seems... Again, please help, this is frustrating. All I want is a phone that has the features I like. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm looking forward to talking to you guys/gals about this stuff, I had no idea this type of forum existed. Rudi |
