Welcome to WA! The mobile podcasting sounds very interesting. A friend show me how he used it on his laptop, with a wifi connection. Some interesting things he could access. Since I have Verizon, I would be afraid of being charged even more for something like podcasting through my phone. Any info on that, would be nice to know about. Oh, again, Welcome to WA!.

Welcome to WA! Wish I could provide more info on Comcast/Verizon, but I do not use my phone for internet hookup, costs tooo much for me. I also use my laptop a lot. I have made it a practice to go to places that offer free wifi. For a cup of coffee at a coffee shop or a meal at some eatery that gives free wifi, you can spend most of the day doing everything you need to do there. When you cannot get to a coffee shop or where free wifi is available, some people use their phones to work off of the internet in their laptops. Course it is REAL slow. There is also a lot of hotels/motels, etc.. that provide free or for a minimal fee, hookup/wifi for laptop, PC's etc...

Hello all, Newbie here! Glad to find this site because I just upgraded to the LG LX 350 for my wife and I. (Actually, my one month 'free' online service ends today All of the pictures of the car charger for the LX350 that I see online have a 'wide' connector and not the correct 'male' connector like the one I've seen in the Sprint store. I email one of the accessory sites about this and they responded that the picture is a "generic" picture and that I would receive the correct 'male' connector. Is this true? |

I have not run across too many 'generic' pictures. As long as the company is 'reputable' and they have a 'good' return policy, you should be ok. I would check to see if it is going to cost you more the ship it back, if it is not the correct item. Not speaking of your phone's leasther case, but I keep looking and looking and I have seen cases from $10-50. Just look at the quality, versis the price. A lot of times, "you get what you pay for", to use on old phrase.

I hear you rwsrichard - about getting what you pay for. I'm not looking for a "...just $5.00..." purchase, I just think that $30 for that little bit of leather is a bit much. Hell - I'm about to spend $29.95 for some new sneakers - with a whole lot more skin (size 14s |

I finally went here for some 'excellent' leather works for my phones. It cost more than the 'cheap' $30 things, but it was more than worth it in the quality. Unless it is a surprise, why not have the wife look at some places online that you found and let her choose. Oh, pardon my hospitality. Welcome to WA!

I’m a full-time RV’er and have a family plan service with Verizon. I am interested in surfing the net using my cell phone (LGVX5200) for connection (already have a booster!). My old Dell Latitude LM laptop has Windows 98, 40Mb Ram, 3.02GB hard drive with Pentium® processor. I’m looking to use my FREE cell phone minutes from the plan, after 2100 and weekends/nights. I’ve searched the Verizon website, they offer a Mobile Office Kit for $39.99, plus you have to purchase the National Access Data Plan for $59.99, in addition to our current charge of $79.99 (plus tax) for the Family Plan. It’s expensive! I’d like to find a cheaper alternate, with your help! On web, I found the USB data cable and/or serial port cable, the DC car adapter, and free internet access via www.simple.net. What else do I need? Question – will I get charged for data calls? Do I need software to make this happen? |

Howdy; ThankYou, ThankYou, ThankYou to all. I have just spent the last 11 hours sitting here trying to get my V3M to Sync with my PC using the Music Essentials Kit. Sure, I could have just loaded the files onto the MSD, but hey, what fun would that have been. I found the forum through a dogpile search, and have been reading it for about 4 hours. I have learned many things. I have used the patch and viola I am connected and sync'd. This is a truly wonderful place. Thanks for being here; and welcome to all others in a tight spot, for you will find the light if you follow the thread |
