Hello, newbie here, Signed up to ask the following question of those who know more about wireless than I (virtually everyone...) I have a Cingular account, and got a Motorola V551 phone. I got it unlocked 'cause somebody told me it's possible to buy a sim chip somewhere (U.S. or outside) that will work in other countries. Since I do vacation outside the US from time to time, I thought this would be a good trick. Question: where can I buy a sim chip, prepaid chip, whatever, that will allow me to use my phone in Mexico? Thanks in advance for any reply. Irideus |

You can normally get prepaid SIM cards on eBay or in the country that you're going to. The two GSM providers in Mexico are Movistar and Telcel. Most people over at Howard's Forums have stated that Telcel seems to work a bit better for them. Amigo GSM is Telcel's prepaid plan. Unfortunately, their site doesn't state the price for a SIM card on its own. http://www.telcel.com/gsm/international/roaming2.htm http://www.telcel.com/gsm/amigo/amigo.htm (not detailed, doesn't mention the price for a SIM card only)

Hello I am new to this site A friend of mine purchased the MDA by T-Mobile & I was testing this phone out & I must say this is the greatest phone I ever used. I was able to log in to our server at high speed using this phone and open documents, change documents & email. We also have cameras hooked up to our servers and I was able to watch video of our office at high speed on my phone. Unbelieveably cool. My friend purchased this from www.UShopWireless.com. |

Welcome to WA...nice to hear of your positive experience with a PocketPC. Not too many of us here on WA have PPCs but we do have a PPC forum. In case you want to see a more active PPC community, swing by XDA-Developers.com for example. They have some interesting info on all PocketPCs which are mostly manufactured by a discreet company called HTC (High Tech Computing or Computers) based in Taiwan. http://forum.xda-developers.com http://wiki.xda-developers.com

Hi, I am new! I have been a Sprint PCS user since 1998. I worked them in thepast and have just managed to stay with them. I use the Sanyo phones because they have worked the best for me with Sprint. Looking at potentially switching to Sun com any recommendations on a phone or the service in general?! All input appreciated! |

hi hi hi, my name is mykie, I lurk around a lot of wireless forums, as this is kind of a hobby of mine. I've been through multiple carriers in my life, and have worked for a few in the past. Mainly, I'm just a big geek who loves technology. Thanks for having me! |
