I have cingular, I have call them and got the settings for the web, internet still doesn't work. They told me that my unlock phone is not compatible with their network. That is when I found this website and the settings are the same as the one cingular gave me. I purchase my unlock razr at egizmos.com. Everything else works fine, text, calls and I can even download ringtones. I don't know what the problem could be.???? Somebody please help me. Kelly- Quote:

Hello everyone, my name is Ash. I hope i'm not the 30,000th person to ask this question, but I was wondering if it is possible for a Tri-Band GSM phone to work on the Verizon network (Southern California)? Like for example the Samsung SCH-D500, not necessarily that phone, but any tri-band GSM? But I really really like that phone! Although I love the service I get from Verizon, but not so fond of the phone selection, I blame the gadget geek in me. And i'd like to use other phones that they dont offer. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and help with all my future annoying questions! |

Verizon Wireless operates on CDMA technology, so a GSM phone will not work on the Verizon network, even if it is unlocked. Getting a CDMA phone that is unbranded, or not Verizon branded to work on Verizon is a possibility that many have done, but a GSM phone will just not work. They're two different technologies. Sorry. Hope this helped a little! | |

No you can't use a GSM phone with Verizon service. Verizon uses CDMA technology that is not compatible with GSM devices, sorry.

Thanks for the response, Steve. I went to hellomoto.com and looked around. I couldn't find the registration part so I haven't had my settings sent to me. Can you please give me a link right to the page you were reffering to? Thankyou. -Kelly |

http://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clien...guredevice.asp I checked this one and it works, but in case it doesn't..... go ahead and post the question in the Cingular Users Forum and I'm sure one of our resident experts can help. (I'm not that familiar with Moto's) Good Luck!
