Rumor Motorola Droid May Be Released by T-Mobile USA

Does anyone think this phone is worth it, if the rumors are true. I hear Verizon is adding a whole bunch of new fees for this.

The only fee I've heard of is an increase in the ETF for newer smartphones. I doubt we'd see this on Tmobile for a while as they've only just released the Cliq. I doubt they'd release two Android phones from the same manufacturer very close together. I'd say six months at the earliest.

It's unlikely T-Mobile or any other U.S. carrier will get the Droid (or any one of its iterations) any time soon. I'm sure Verizon has a long exclusivity contract on it.

There is a European version coming out called the Milestone. This could conceivably be used on T-Mobile, sans 3G capability (as it does not have the AWS 1700mhz band on it).
