Anybody out there used or using both? I have played around briefly with the G1 in the store, currently have a BB-flip...thinking of either waiting for the G2 or getting the BB-8900. I have a BB for awhile now...am used to it and like it, but thinking some of the app's and things the G1 or G2 can do would be fun/useful. E-mail is important to me, but have been advised only Google e-mail is pushed...have an AOL account, so that would be pulled every few minutes. Not a heavy internet/web browser, but do use it some. Also concerned if even the G2 will be heavy or a pocket-full compared to the BB-8900. Also battery life. Not sure about how good the touch-screen is either...any feed-back on this? Also like the BB back-up on my computer...does the Google phone have similar? I'm currently out of contract and my current BB-flip is not working totally due to being dropped. Bluetooth function won't turn on, etc. Thanks!

I have a BB and have fiddled around with a G1. For me, the email access on the BB trumps all right now, as I use my BB for work and personal use. The G1 does have a nice browser, the apps are nice (I haven't used BB app world much but I have downloaded it). I'm not aware of the G1 having anything like the BB Desktop manager, but I don't know if there is a 3rd party solution to that either. The BB Desktop Manager work well for my use. If you are a heavy user, the G1 battery life can be an impediment, but then again I charge my BB every night during the week anyway as it is usually down to 10-30% at the end of the day.

Thanks T-Mobileman & Matt. I am going to try and be patient, then check out the new G1 or 2. Think in the long run I'll be going with the 8900, for I'm used to using BB's now. I text some, but mostly e-mail...so that's important to me. Just thought having some of the app's that the Google phone's offer would be fun to play around with on the long commute home from work each day. Sometimes I use the browser, so I know with the G1 that's better. I did a search on various phone websites such as this, indexing "BB vs G1", etc., which I should have done in the 1st place before placing this post/thread. Sorry about that! Basically I was just trying to get user's opinions on what the Google phone or G1 does that the Blackberry doesn't...like if some of the applications are useful, etc. Thanks again! Chris

Depending on your time frame, the 3g Blackberry "Driftwood" is rumored to come to TM, maybe in September.
