Ahh yes, this is true. I am going to be starting a new job in a few weeks and I will only have T-Mobile service in my office. Fortunately I have Cingular and the multiple times that I have been there, it switches right over to the T-Mobile signal when I walk into the office.

It is located underground and in a back hallway that is fortified with concrete. Fortunately, T-Mobile has a tower or BDA system on the building!

Sprint, Nextel, Alltel, Verizon, and Cingular are all dead! I think I saw Verizon Analog once, but that seemed lucky!

Looks like Cingular depends on T-mobile for a lot of coverage in your area, AZ, luckily you have free roam on T-mobile!!!

I will to as soon as I migrate over LOL. They did say that this was only temporary because they plan to build a tower in my area before the end of the 2nd quarter. Only time will tell.

Naahhhh. It really isn't that much. I just like to talk about it when it happens because it is so rare. Cingular has a tower very close to my house right now, so I get readings in the mid -50's inside. The reading I got at the new place I will be working was about -90dB. Not great, but better than the no service from Cingular there!

-50 is really strong!!! I get about -70 at home with Verizon, -106 with Sprint and Qwest, no service at all with CricKet.

The best I have seen with the V600 was in the -40's and that was when I actually walked over to the tower to verify that it was in fact the one servicing my house. My Nextel Blackberry registered -36! It was great!

Let me preface that by saying that I have 1 tower that is about 200 yards from my apartment that has both Nextel and AT&T/Cingular panels on it. Works out great for me!

I've gotten a reading in the 20's standing right by a VZW tower, and ec/io as low as -0.5.

Question for everyone....since AT&T customers are now part of Cingular.....wouldn't they have opened up AT&T people to be able to roam on TMobile in areas where Cingular orange customers are already allowed to roam? I know they aren't...because Eddie cannot roam on TMobile from his AT&T phone....but Cingular orange people are allowed. Since AT&T customers are technically Cingular customers now....shouldn't the same roaming agreement apply in the same area?

That's what I said and asked, and their response was, Cingular Orange has a roaming agreement with T-Mobile, not Cingular Blue.

Cingular is supposed to build a tower of their own by the end of the 2nd quarter. The 1st quarter is already going to end. There's only about 2 towers in my area. A T-Mobile one and a Sprint one. Cingular's will be next to the Sprint one.
