Default T-Mobile Roaming In South Georgia

Does anyone know how accurate the coverage maps are regarding roaming in south Georgia? The appear to be very erratic and sporadic. Also has anyone been able to force roam while in south Georgia? Thanks !

Default Re: T-Mobile Roaming In South Georgia

I have used T-Mobile's prepaid service in southwest Georgia. The maps are accurate in the area that I traveled. I rode along US 19 between Albany and Thomasville and I was able to access the AT&T towers along that stretch of road. My phone went blank for a few minutes and I went into the network options and switched networks. Upon arriving in Thomasville and Albany, the phone reverted back to T-Mobile's network and I was not able to force roaming in those cities. So I'd be inclined to say that the maps are accurate. If you go to an area where T-Mobile and AT&T both have service, you will not be able to choose networks. Also the maps are spotty in some parts of the state because AT&T hasn't covered the whole state yet. In Bainbridge, for instance, there is no GSM whatsoever. Generally, you will only be able to access the AT&T 1900 mhz towers, this is why the T-Mobile coverage map is spotty. So its possible to see an AT&T phone have service and the T-Mobile one not. I hope this helps!
