T-Mobile phone with best signal pulling capabality

I think I'm about to get a new phone for my T-Mobile account, and out of these phones, which one has the best signal-pulling ability?

Samsung T-219

or the

Nokia 2760

I would guess the Nokia, but I was just checking for feedback. I might be in areas with weak signal sometimes, so strong RF is a good thing for me.

Nokia.......Samsungs just generally suck....and especially that one......its low cost....and for Samsung that usually means low quality

Samsung does suck, nokia is better, and Motorola seems to be improving I recommend if you're looking for reception only...try any of the nokias or the moto v195, has Bluetooth, no other frills, but great phone for basic use

I thought the Samsung would probably not fare so well.

I have have experienced favorable reception with Samsung phones, however; quality varies from model to model.

The best signal strength was on my T309. I then got a T619 which was OK ,but not good at receiving signals at home. Thinking I could solve the poor reception at home, I signed up for hotspot and got a Samsung T409.

The T409 may be the worst phone I have ever had. It can not find my Hotspot@home router when I am standing next to it, it wants to roam on AT&T, the battery will discharge at odd times, and settings have to be restored every week to use the WI-FI. Bar strength is at 1 while my other phones show 2 or 3.

I hope it is just this phone. Customer service is sending me a replacement phone next week.
I asked customer service if other people had complained about this phone and was told that they had no reports of any problems.

Yeah you know that phone doesn't seem to work so well, based on reports from customers that I have spoken with. I might recommend you try the New Nokia 6301 it's pretty nice and seems to work really well with the hotspot calling service. This is the phone that I upgrade people to that don't do so well with the samsung T409, but the Katalyst samsung and the T339 seem to work better than the T409 as well, I would just recommend the Nokia because it's newer and has better extended features.

I concur with tmobileman about Nokia. I recently got the 6263, and the phone has been much better than I anticipated. My biggest concern was with the battery. The new Symbian Series 40 phones like this (6126, 6133, 6555 - for example) have an issue with the battery draining very quickly. I've learned that changing the EDGE setting to "when needed" this helps considerably.

I will say long calls drain the battery pretty quickly as well, but I just recharge it. I've gotten much better than expected stand-by battery life on the phone. Signal strength is excellent on every Nokia I've ever owned. The 6263 and 6555 continue Nokia's excellent record of signal-hogging phones.

Customizations on Nokia's are excellent as well. I would definitely recommend Nokia any day (especially over ANY Samsung).

How do I phrase my request to get either the Samsung 339 or the Nokia without paying or for a minimal payout.

I do not think I should suffer for T-Mobile selling me a substandard phone.

My customer service person says that there were no adverse reports for this phone, they deny that there is a problem.

The program you want to reference is the multiple exchange program how it works is if you're doing your third exchange within 90 days we will offer to get you a different phone. since you have the 409 the next step should be the 339 or the katalyst otherwise you can try the game of threatening to cancel if you're not given the fully qualified deal and you should get it, sorry there isn't an easier process in place

Voice quality is gravelly, bad signal reception, and my "fully charged battery" went dead at 3:30 this morning with all the accompanying tones and chimes guaranteed to wake me up in a bad mood.
Think I got 21 hours on the fully charged battery. I probably talked for 20 minutes yesterday.
Do most people like t-mobile Hotspot?
Do their phones act normally?
I have to either cancel the service, AND GET A REFUND!, or they are going to have to give me a functional phone.

Call and let the rep know that you are considering cancelling your service if you're not given the fully qualified upgrade price on a new WiFi calling phone, it's the samsung it sucks man really. There may be an option to do an exchange for a different phone but the best bet is not to threaten to cancel just let them know that you are fed up and are really thinking of cancelling if this is not resolved then you get to talk to an acct specialist like me who will override your pricing and give you the deal like you got on the original phone when you bought it. Sorry man I know it sucks right now but with a different device...I recommend the Nokia...it will definately get better.

I have only had 3 Nokias (5190, 6010, 6030) and 2 Motorolas (V2282, RIZR Z3, V195s) during my time at T-Mobile... And I have to say that the Nokias beat the Motos hands down. Of these phones, I have to say that the 6010 was THE signal hog... It picked up more in my apartment than the others. That RIZR was the worst.

Yes, I just bought a Motorola v195 and while it does a good job of picking up signal around town, my previous Nokia 6030 had a bit of an edge in pulling in the signal.

my consistent experience with Samsung is you get what you pay for....the more expensive it is the better it is........quality is pretty consistent in the Nokia and Moto dept. though
