Default Blackberry Maps

Does anyone know what is necessary for Blackberry Maps to work on my Curve? I have the $9.99 Blackberry plan, so I have no internet data through T-Mobile. I am currently hooked up to the internet through wifi. When I attempt to get an address I receive the following message:

"A network error was encountered. Check your server settings."

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Default Re: Blackberry Maps

I use the HTC 8925 Tilt on AT&T. It can receive data via WiFi or 3G/EDGE/GPRS. So we should have some similarity.

There's a proxy setting on the browser (and other IP stuff) that needs to be on for wireless, and off for WiFi. Perhaps it's the same for you on T-Mobile.

Go to options and select HotSpot Browser or Internet Browser and see if this helps. By default, your Curve will prefer the T-Zones browser.
