Default TMobile > T-Mobile Forwarding Question

I have a somewhat complicated question, but I am not sure the T-Mobile reps understand me when I explain it so I figure I would post here to see if any users have figured a way around this.

I have two cell phones, cell phone A is my work phone, cell phone B is my home phone.

Cell phone B is forwarded to cell phone A for all incoming calls.

When I receive a call on cell phone A(from cell phone B), in the caller ID, I see cell phone B's phone number.

What I want to happen is to see the originating callers number, say phone C instead.

So the grand result would be phone C calls cell phone B, cell phone B forwards to cell phone A, cell phone A rings with phone C's number in the caller ID.

I know this is possible because when cell phone A was with Verizon this is how it functioned. Has anyone managed to convince a representative of its feasibility? If so, how? Or perhaps has just found a work around?

Thanks

this is a technology thing........Verizon and Sprint do a true forwarding that transmits the incoming callers CID to the forwardee.....thats just the way it works.........AT&T and T-Mobile dont do that

Maybe it's like this in some markets, but I've never had this happen to me. When I've forwarded calls from my T-Mobile number to another T-Mobile number or AT&T number, the number of the originated call comes through in the caller ID, not the number of the phone with the forwarding activated.

I just did a test of this and everything works as it should for both T-Mobile and AT&T. In the past I've had two T-Mobile numbers and have forwarded one to the other. Caller ID worked as it should then as well.

I'm not quite sure why it isn't working like this for you in your case.

on att the original number does come through. it would be nice to have a little less misinformation going around. im not a moderator and not interested in being but it is not conducive to the site.

to note, im not trying to start anything, i just wanted to bring up a subject that i think people should be mindful of in respect to the site.
