I currently have the Dash with the $39-My Faves plan, + $29-Total Internet, + $4.99 Text. Due to being in a slight financial bind, I am considering switching to the Sidekick with the $39-My Faves, + $19 Sidekick add-on plan because it would save me $15 a month. Would I be taking a real big step down in phone, call quality, functionality, etc? Would appreciate any opinions. Thinking about going on E-Bay to see if anyone wants to trade a Dash for a SK3. Thanks! Chris

Chris, from what I've read, the SK3 is perfect for texters, but not as good for web access as the Dash or other smartphones, BUT since your not getting rid of the Dash, just adding the SK3 to your phone arsenal, you should be fine during your financial crunch. The SK3 is not a smartphone, so you may lose some options you would otherwise have with the Dash. You might find you like the SK3, though.

Thanks. I'm thinking this one over for a bit. Another avenue I may do is that one of the clerks at the T-Mobile store I go to has a SK2 that I could use, and keep my Dash. I could then change my plan temporarily, then go back to the Dash when my finanaces are more solvent. The only thing with the SK2 is it's on GPRS instead of EDGE. Plus I like the new trackball on the SK3. Plus the SK3 has a removable battery, where the SK2 doesn't. Supposedly after 90 days you can get a discount on any phone...but I'd still be paying over $300 for a SK3. The T-Mobile guys also suggested I look at sites like E-Bay...he said you can find people giving them away! Thanks Mike as always for your help and advise!
