Default OTA Message:

Anyone else receiving OTA OK messages from TMobile? Since porting my number from Cingular to TMobile yesterday I have received 9 text messages from them that say OTA OK ,From:907. AFAIK this can't be an OTA phone update because the RIZR was just released last month and there are no available updates for it yet.

I've had T-Mobile for more than two years and I've only ever had one OTA message and that was when I was on the phone with tech support for an MMS issue.

I've never gotten them randomly, as you describe, though because you ported there may be updates that needed to go to your handset/SIM that I didn't need since I activated with a T-Mobile MDN.

The only way to know for sure would be to call T-Mobile customer service.

^ Thanks for the replies guys. I haven't received any more of those messages since yesterday, and I wasn't charged for them. I'm thinking they may have had something to do with the number port but it's still a mystery as to why there was no message included other than OTA, OK. I might just give CS a call tomorrow to see what they say.
