Talking Need Help with retentions plan.

I was trying to help my daughter with renewing her T-mobile plan. She has a sidekick plan with the unlimited text. Thing is she is basically happy with her plan, but wants a good deal on a new sidekick since hers is already old and worn. When I spoke to the CS rep, he wanted to charge her an activation fee as well as full price for the phone!?!?!?!?! Being a sprint customer myself, I was surprised at the offer, when I renew I usually get the phone for free or very heavily discounted, not to mention I ususally get more minutes for less money too! Anyone here can help with some advise? Thanks

Hey, welcome to wireless advisor! It sounds like the CS rep didnt renew your plan and he treated it like a new activation. I would go into a T-Mobile store and tell them that you want a sidekick 3 and that you want to renew your contract for another year, her text messaging package should move over to the new contract and you shouldnt have an activation fee. I personally have never been charged one for renewing my contract. If you dont feel like going down to a t-mobile store call back and get another cs rep. Sometimes it just helps to get another person.

hope this helps and good luck.
