Hey there, Can anyone tell me if you can go from T-mobile postpaid to a prepaid account and port your same telephone number? I've had the same number for about 7 years and don't want to give it up, but I'm temporarily moving out of the country and want to keep a cell number in the US to use when I'm back at home and in the US on business...Since that won't be all too often, I don't want to pay any monthly charges and the Gold Plan looks like the best option for me. Any comments/ hints on this? Thanks, Dan |

I recently went from post-paid to pre-paid with T-Mobile. I thought I had to go to the store & change out the sim card, but was pleasantly surprised to find out all of this could be handled over the phone with customer service. The whole process with customer care took approximately 10-15 minutes & within 30 minutes I received a text message "welcome to T-Mobile To Go". I have had my number since 2001 & was able to keep it without any problems. I really don't use this phone much, so I bought a $100.00 card that is good for 1 year. That comes out to about $8.00 per month...a great deal in my opinion! |
