ToGo has added some roaming

I just noticed that on the prepay coverage maps, there is additional non Tmo coverage; according on the website, the newly added coverage is 1900 only and there are no extra fees to access the new coverage. Way to go

I believe the prepaid roaming is market-specific. T-Mobile will not let its own customers roam on Cingular, if there is native T-Mobile service in the same market.

In Vermont, both postpaid T-Mobile and Cingular will roam on Unicel, however the T-Mobile VT prepaid coverage map for Burlington, VT shows no service for T-Mobile prepaid.

The only prepay services I've used that allow off-network roaming are TracFone (both GSM and CDMA) and Verizon. Verizon's prepay service also roams in Canada, their old Pay As You Go prepay plan charged .99/minute when placing a call while in Canada, it also required double-dialing.

I didnt say that the coverage is everywhere; Also, Tmo is only allowing 1900 roaming for togo phones; maybe Unicel isn't 1900 there (?) or it may be market specific. Although unconditional off-net roaming would make a nice option, maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel for Tmo.
