Hi All A few months back i read a few threads on Service to Puerto Rico and St Thomas. I Have T-Mobile Service Does anyone know if there service works in any of these areas yet??????????[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

A relative of my wife who works for T-Mobile in Tampa said they were currently (as of Dec 29th last year) building their Puerto Rico network.

I was hoping for a specific date cause i have work to do down there soon. I guess i'll just have to wait and see what happens oh well

While I have no date, I doubt it's anytime soon. It seemed like they were in the early stages of their buildout. In addition, I don't think they have any plans for coverage of the US Virgin Islands. I assume they will roam on Cingular's GSM network if that ever launches.

I figures it would be my luck that the two companies I have for celluar service would not work there. I guess i'll have to add a third one. I cant believe cingular hasn't launced yet. I remember you and another person talking about that months ago. I was hoping it would be completed, so hopely my t-mobile would roam on it

T-Mobile have just started covering Puerto Rico since last week. Bought ATT

T-Mobile bought out SunCom who had a network in Puerto Rico. The buyout is complete so T-Mobile now has service in Puerto Rico.
