Default Trial Period

Is the trial period in California 30 days? The information that they sent me says 30 days in CA, but on their web site it says 14 days. I'm confused!!! Please help.

The website information is general. Usually, I would say refer to the specific information included in your paperwork.

However, California used to have 30 day trial periods based on the CPUC's 'Wireless Bill of Rights' but that was suspended in January of 2005. The CPUC was trying to get the 'Bill of Rights' enacted again in January of this year but I don't think they were successful because I haven't heard anything about it. I would call T-Mobile customer service and make sure.

Section 5 of the Terms and Condtions:

Cancellation and Return Policy. There is a Return Period during which you can cancel a newly activated line of Service without paying a cancellation fee. The Return Period is 14 calendar days from the date of Service activation or 30 days from the Phone’s purchase date if you have not activated Service (the Return Period may be longer in some states, such as CA – visit www.t-mobile.com, or ask a sales or customer care representative).

I almost positive that TM kept the 30-day provision in CA.
