Any details on what the host plan has to be to qualify for the $7.99 Family Plan?

I see you have T-Mobile listed on your profile. How did you sign up for T-Mobile living in Knoxville?

I'm not sure of the rules, but I know you can change it later. TM has thousands of customers who live in the Carolinas!

I do't know anything more, but TM has never had different pricing for add-a-line in the past, so I am guessing it will be for all family plans.

That is awesome! $7.99 for add-ons? Wow!!!

Matt, would it really be worth it for T-Mobile to have thousands of customers in areas where they don't offer native coverage? Wouldn't the roaming cost much more for heavy users to make it really worth it to t-mobile to have that customer?

I've seen several users from North Carolina on HoFo that have T-Mobile. I once thought about signing up for T-Mobile. I was going to turn my friend's address that lives in the Seattle area as my billing address. I then could go online and supress my paper statement. I would just pay online or over the telephone. That would be a hassle though and I needed a local number which T-mobile couldn't provide me. I also wouldn't have a local store to go to if I ever had any problems that required me to visit a T-Mobile store. So I decided against trying to sign up with T-Mobile.

Well, there are roaming costs. I don't know the details of the agreements, but it's probably down to about 10 cents per minute that carriers charge each other. The other side of it is that TM customers aren't customers of a competitor in this area, so it's a cost/benefit analysis.

Wow, with there coverage getting better, there plans cheaper and add this price feature, if they had better coverage here, and I wasn't still in a contract, I would jump ship to them. 4 lines right now at the Blue rate of $59.99 then $9.99 each addl. + the $14.00 for the 300 SMS plan it's costing me close to $130.00 a month (with evil taxes of course).
I could save some money and have more mins. with T-Mobile.

Thumbs down Re: Family plan add-a-line $7.99

Cancelled Tmobile because it was roaming on Cingular here in Knoxville and the call clarity and dropped calls were just too much.

Well, yes, they are not with a competitor, but say that T-Mobile will have to pay 10 cents per minute that I talk.
Say I have a 39.99 plan, 600 Anytime, Unlimited NIghts and Weekends.
I use about 1500 Nights and weekends alone...would this really benefit T-Mobile more than it would hurt them?
