Maybe I am not looking in the right spot... But didn't T-Mobile have a killer $49.95 family share plan (with two phones, then $10 per line? - I only need two) I was going to leave Nextel for them to save some money... How is the coverage in CT these days (I live and travel between Torrington and Trumbull) |

That plan is gone. All of the carriers raised their lowest share plans $10 recently. TM is $59.99; the others are $69.99 AFAIK.

sprint/nextel coverage seems OK - I just wanted to move to t-mobile to save a few dollars :-) (even $10 a month is 120 a year) :-) maybe I should stay with nextel??? |

Well I know that Nextel is starting to roll out some pretty classy phones (I've known about the Motorola i870 for some time and it finally appeared on Phone Scoop - www.phonescoop.com), so it wouldnt be a bad idea to stay with them, especially if they are working out well for you. Another idea, before leaving Nextel you can do the 14-day trial period T-Mobile has and try out the coverage everywhere you go. If it works, keep the phone and drop Nextel.

Yeah it was removed on the 29th. It was non-promotional too (meaning NO contract extension to switch to it). Now the cheapest Non-promotional familyplan we offer is 69.99. The 59.99 plan requires a contract extension.

There used to be two versions of the 49.99 family plan. One with unlimited nights (promotional) and one without (non-promotional). By accident, the non-promotional plan as not grandfathered a few months ago and was still available. As you can see above that has been changed.
