Any advice would be appreciated on whether to upgrade two antiquated Nokia phones to Motorola V188s or Samsung x495s (we want two of the same). Battery life, reception, etc.

I use the V188 as a back-up phone and I like it very much. Good size, good RF, ok battery life. The screen isnt that nice, though.

As for the x495, I have never used it. But it has a nicer screen, nice size, and nice style from what I can see. I dont know about the RF and battery life, but what websites claim, it has pretty good battery life.
